Vacation Montana!

~ Montana Lodging At Its BEST ~

Fall in Montana

Fall is for the contemplative soul

The air starts to cool

And rain begins to dampen the ground

Between sunny crisp days that showcase panaromas of changing colors

Of Aspen, Birch, Willow, and other changelings

That speak to the gloriously colorful

Changing of seasons

The tourist crowds lessen in numbers during the Fall

As families return to jobs and children to school

And are replaced by persons seeking a slower pace

And simpler pleasures

Fall is truly glorious in Montana

The vistas of changing trees will strike and hold your eyes

And bracing air in the morning will remind you that you have lungs

Low white clouds stretch out in a hollow

Clinging to a mountain with finger like extensions

Hoping not to slip

The sun's cooled rays pierce through vacating branches

Dewy reflections hang from the leaves like so many dangling earrings

Remind you of millions of prisms of light

Dancing before you

The purity and freshness of the air make it a pleasure to breathe

While you hear the crunching of colored leaves beneath your feet

Fall in Montana is a feast for your senses

And so rarely do we give our senses such a treat

Summer is the time that most tourists love for all its obvious pleasures

And is the only time for many people to get away on a vacation

But Montanans know that the most beautiful time is the Fall

That if you are seeking a peaceful, reflective time with yourself

Or with a loved one

The pleasures of Fall will calm your mind and sharpen your senses

And make you feel much more alive

Come see us in the Fall, if you can

 Join in Nature's festivities

Colorful and bright

See what Nature can give to fill up your life

Comfort, calm, clarity

Restored energy and focus

A good warm feeling inside

Fall in Montana

A truly wonderful and personal time

Montana Morning

I emerge from my bedroom

and what do I see?

Oranges and goldens and reds

splayed out

Like a kaleidoscope

that had simply gone mad

Who decided, I ask

that I can see such a beautiful thing?

No one, a voice answers

but you will just the same

Water and Sunshine

Puddles of water

Pockmark a country road

like dozens of shining badges

A testament to rain from the night before

Now eye a stark blue sky

During a cool Fall day

How the water, perfectly still

Seems to dance with the Sun

In many bright flashes

And rapid movements

Across and around

Whirl to the sound, of silence

My body and eyes

In tandem

Fiddler for Nature's couple

As I move along this erratic road

Of water and sunshine
