Montana Poetry
Although our resident poet is shy about his
descriptive abilities, he really can paint a picture! What he
does not appreciate is that while most of us grapple for the
right word on our grocery lists, there are a rare few of us who
can create visions with words of marvelous events of Nature. Who
can make accessible to us events that we can only really
envision, and feel, with the mind's eye. These natural scenes
extend from the broadest deepest ranges across Montana's plains
and the fearsome presence of an ever so high mountain range to
the most intricate opening of a flower from a Winter nap, the
radiant dew-dripping branches of a leafless tree, and the splash
of a drop of life-giving rain. Our poet draws these images with a
passion and love for Montana that is obvious from his very first
words, sharing the unique and wonderful ways that Nature happens
in Montana, which is why we have used so many of his words
throughout this site. To go beyond the facts and activities,
beautiful views and points-of-interest, to get to the
visceral feel of being in Montana.
As you proceed, get ready to fly on the wings of that feeling,
with our poet as your guide.
We have been asked by some visitors to collect
our poet's works from the various pages of this site and make
them available in one place. While contending with the
impassioned temper of a poet and his downright inability to see
any big deal about his talents, from which emerge protestations
that such a page would be irrelevant and a meaningless
distraction from the main thrust of the site (we'll spare you the
rest of his discontent), we believe to the contrary and we think
you will too.
So

magnificence, force, and varied pleasures of Montana's Nature.
